Terms of Use

1. Purpose

Frontier Performance is a research platform designed to support physiological studies, including the IHT Twin Study. The platform collects, stores, and visualises health and performance data to aid scientific research conducted under the supervision of Leeds Beckett University.

2. Eligibility

Access to this platform is restricted to authorised research participants, researchers, and administrators. Accounts are created by platform administrators and are not available for public registration.

3. Acceptable use

By using this platform, you agree to:

  • Use the platform only for its intended research purposes
  • Keep your login credentials confidential and not share your account
  • Not attempt to access data belonging to other participants
  • Not attempt to bypass security controls or tamper with the platform
  • Report any security concerns or data issues to the research team

4. Data ownership

Your personal health data remains your own. By connecting your Oura and Polar accounts, you grant the research team permission to access and store this data for the duration of the study. You may revoke this access at any time by disconnecting your accounts via the Admin page or by contacting the research team.

5. Research use

Data collected through this platform may be used in academic publications, conference presentations, and research reports. All published data will be anonymised so that individual participants cannot be identified.

6. Platform availability

We aim to keep the platform available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. The platform may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or due to circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss resulting from platform downtime.

7. Limitation of liability

This platform is provided for research purposes only. The data and visualisations presented are not medical advice and should not be used for clinical decision-making. The research team and platform operators are not liable for any decisions made based on data displayed on this platform.

8. Withdrawal

You may withdraw from the study and request deletion of your data at any time by contacting the research team. Withdrawal will not affect any data that has already been anonymised and included in published research.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If significant changes are made, you will be asked to re-accept them upon your next login. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
